ImpactV launch party!

We are so excited to announce that we have partnered up with four other local nonprofits to create a new shared services group called ImpactV.

The founding agencies of ImpactV are Family & Children’s Place, Boys & Girls Haven, The Center for Women and Families, Dreams With Wings, and Zoom Group.  The agencies, pillars in the community in their respective service areas, have combined budgets nearing $27 million and employ more than 400 individuals.

This past Thursday, Sept 14th, members from all the organizations had a gathering to celebrate the new group and have a ceremonial signing of the operations agreement.

Zoom Group is proud to be working together with such great nonprofit leaders from our community. We can't wait to see what the future holds.

Taziki's Grand Opening St. Matthews

Taziki's in St. Matthews celebrated it's grand opening this past week. This particular franchise is owned by the family of one of our Team Members, Brad, and they are huge supporters of Zoom. We joined them for their big day, along with Taziki's corporate reps and The Chamber of St. Matthews members.

We are so grateful for their generous donation and we look forward to working more with them in the future.

The LifeWorks programs help our Team Members gain more access to community as well as enhance daily living skills, broaden communication skills, and build self reliance.

You can check out our page here. This will be the page where we'll be receiving donation during the Sept 14th event. We thank you all for your support, and hope you can celebrate with us on this big day!

Composed

Did you make it out to the opening reception? If not, you still have time to check all the great work from 'Composed' in the StudioWorks gallery space.

Composed is an exhibition exploring the influence of music on the artwork and personal lives of selected artists from StudioWorks & Latitude Arts. Above is a mini documentary featuring interviews with many of the artists. Big thanks to our friends at Latitude, especially Erik who shared his musical talent with us.

Check out the video to get a closer look into how music has made an impact on the lives of the artists.

Adrian making himself heard in DC!

Adrian and Melissa are in Washington this week attending the SourceAmerica Grassroots Advocacy Conference. Adrian is getting the opportunity to talk to lawmakers about his job at the VA, advocating for himself, and to discuss issues in regards to employment and the disability community.

We can't wait for them to return, and tell us what they learned.

Shop at Lucky's & support Zoom!

Right now, Lucky's Market is supporting Zoom Group through their 'Bags For Change' program. It's super easy and all laid out in the infographic in this post. Essentially, shop for groceries at Lucky's Market, bring re-usable bags, and use the tokens to donate to Zoom. Lucky's will double your donation, all of which will go to our great programs.

Get out to Lucky's, we're sure there's something you need at the store...
